Things to remember and some that will be fine to forget

Let's start with the stuff that the lack of sleep will magically let us forget -
It's been a great week and a half home with Will but it has definitely had some ups and downs.  Lauren is for sure still adjusting to not being the center of the world!  There has been a lot of attention-getting behavior and she has had a couple record setting temper tantrums over things that would normally not even be an issue.  It is definitely hard to be patient with a 2 year old when you are running on 2-hour stretches of sleep at a time.  I am so thankful for Scott giving me lots of time this weekend to go back to bed and get rested up to start all over again on Monday!

And now for the stuff that makes the long days, nights, 24 hour periods that all run together so worth it!
-At the hospital the nurses came to get Will to give him his Hep vaccine and Lauren was super concerned about them taking him away.  She said "He will not be crying for his mommy?"
-Lauren was out in the back yard hanging out with Scott while he was doing some yard work and heard me start up the vacuum cleaner inside.  Scott said she sprinted to the house as soon as she heard it and shouted back to him "I need to check on my baby brother".  She HATES the vacuum!  She came to the door and told me she needed to check on her brother.  I told her he was fine and she checked on him still snoozing in the swing.  She said "Will is not scared?  He is brave!  I don't like the vacuum berry much.  I will go back outside while you are vacuuming!"
-Pretend talking on her cell phone - "Yeah uh huh, yeah, yeah, I'm a big sister, yeah ok Byeee"  Then to me - "I was just talking to Will's doctor"
-Lauren loves to help burp Will while I'm feeding him and loves and takes very seriously her job as paci-helper.  She's using all his baby equipment (swing, car seat, crib etc) for her baby doll, and even has a new way to feed her baby that she picked up from Mommy that doesn't involve a bottle! haha!  She doesn't miss a beat!
It really is amazing to me that she loves and cares about her brother so much already!

In Will-news, the little guy is doing great!  He is nursing every 3 hours during the day, and has done a 6-7-hour stretch between feedings the last 2 nights.  I'm guessing that the night time stretches were just a little gift and we'll go back to needing to be fed more often for a while but I will take it!!!  He loves his car seat (PRAYING that continues!), and Scott would say he has a definite preference to being held by his mommy :-)  ...which I am totally fine with for right now!!!  Ok time to go wake him up to eat!!!  Pics to come soon!
