August...let's see...has been CRAZY! Hence no posting. But let's catch up real fast! We put our house on the market at the end of July, and were absolutely shocked that we had an offer in 2 WEEKS! We were so excited but also sent into a little bit of "yikes!" since we really (esp me) had just gotten used to the fact that it was actually for sale. Then we started the (insert giant quotation marks here) "fun" process of looking for a new house. I really thought it was going to be a blast to look at fun new houses. Sixteen houses in on my first day of looking with our too chatty even for me real estate agent in 100 degree weather and I was like...ummm this isn't as fun as I thought!! Fast forward 3 weeks of more of the same and enless hours looking online (while Lauren has seriously been a trooper with some independent play time!) and we still had found nothing we felt was just right...until last weekend! So yip yip yippideedoo we don't have to rent! ...we're closing middle of next week ...we have fabulous friends and family who have offered to let us stay in the interim ...and well, God is just good!!! We really have loved this house and neighborhood, especially since bringing Lauren home here, and there are a lot of people that we are going to miss being right around the corner from! But we know we'll keep in touch, and we just know that this will be great for us in the long run, and despite being a little crazy and scattered with 8 million things to do we really are just super excited!!
And since posts without pictures aren't so popular here's a little sample of exactly the kind of evening entertainment we'll miss when we leave the neighborhood... (these are also the ONLY pictures I've taken this month, which will tell you how crazy it's been!)
