Things I say and do these days

Mommy knows she won't remember this stuff next month, let alone years down the road!

-Multiple times this weekend - "I happy Daddy home!" Yes she has him wrapped around her finger :-)

-"Mommy drink water, feel good" or "Mommy/Daddy drink coffee, feel good" ...yes indeed.

-"Big bed all night long". She likes to pass on her good obedience report to her Daddy on the phone most mornings and let him know she stayed in her bed! She also likes to put her baby in the crib and tell it to stay in "big bed all night long".

-Picking out books - "Good one!" , or "Go-locks 3 Baaares" (Goldilocks & the 3 Bears)

-To lots of things..."I no like that" ...yes she is 2 ...enough said!

-"Bye Mommy, talk later!", at Granny Eilis' house this week when she wanted to get into something she knew she wasn't supposed to!

-"Hit friends?" ...to which we always used to respond NO, but lately we've been just not responding and then she'll usually say "High fives, hugs?" ...YES please, much better! Testing boundaries much?

-"I carry it", or "I hold it" ...when my hands are full carrying things, or when she sees my cell phone!

-Lauren is loving being a good helper lately! She helps me put her clothes away in her room every week, knows where her pj's and bloomers go, and brings me her dresses one at a time to hang up. So sweet! She also likes to pull out all of her pj's and bloomers and try to put them on over her clothes :-)

-"This way Chick a Lay" (Chick Fil A) pointing in the direction we're driving

-"That way, that way" pointing in the OPPOSITE direction of school

-Sobbing hysterically, "NOT THAAAAT!" upon seeing Daddy pull out leftover chicken and white bean salad from the refrigerator for dinner. Yes it is hard being two. Clearly she would have preferred Chick Fil A!

-We've gone to the pool a couple times this summer and Lauren definitely loves the water. It didn't take any time to get used to it like last year. This year the challenge is just teaching her to not run away from us into the deep end! Oh and not to steal everyone else's snacks from their pool bags!
